Regional Development Australia Mackay-Isaac-Whitsunday (RDAMIW), the Greater Whitsunday Alliance (GW3) and the Queensland Government are running a workshop to better understand the needs of agriculture producers, processors, and participants in the region.
The workshop is intended to start a conversation on how Innovation and AgTech can support agriculture industries in the Greater Whitsunday Region, with aim of helping agribusiness integrate technology systems, products, and services into their businesses and industries.
The workshop will be held in Mackay on Wednesday, 28 April 2021 from 8.00am to 3.00pm, and will be focused around:
- Determining key AgTech challenges and opportunities for the Greater Whitsunday Region
- Developing a support mechanism to foster collaboration along the from Greater Whitsunday agribusiness value chain to help develop an AgTech and innovation strategy and future programs
- What specific areas of AgTech strategy focus, program delivery and adoption are a priority for regional stakeholders
- Showcasing local, regional and global AgTech developments, and how they can be applied in the region.
