Building on the success of the AgFrontier Regional AgTech Incubator, the Central Highlands Development Corporation (CDHC) has announced the new AgFrontier 2.0: Regional AgTech Catalyst thanks to major funding from the Local Buying Foundation – QLD.
Last year, the CHDC founded the regional AgTech incubator which provided 10 entrepreneurs with intensive support to launch agricultural innovation global businesses in the 14-month program.
AgFrontier 2.0 will build on the program through a series of initiatives and events that develop key skills and deliver mentoring to ag and related tech entrepreneurs in the region. The three-year program aims to create a world-leading ag and food tech community in Central Queensland.
The program will include an internship and work-placement for secondary and tertiary students, gap analysis of regional agricultural technology entrepreneurship and skills development plan.
