Diseases and pests

Diseases and pests of bees that are present in Queensland can impact on hives' productivity. Exotic diseases and pests, and exotic bee species could seriously affect the Queensland honeybee industry.

Notify Biosecurity Queensland if you suspect your hives have any of the following diseases:

  • American foulbrood
  • small hive beetle.
