Rookwood Weir Irrigated Crop Suitability Tool

Once constructed, Rookwood Weir will enable agricultural development along the Fitzroy River in Central Queensland—in land that extends 5km out from each side of the river. This extensive area contains more than 45,000 hectares of suitable land for irrigated crops.

The Rookwood Weir Irrigated Crop Suitability Tool:

  • can help you locate and explore details about suitable land that has potential to grow specific irrigated crops
  • includes the elevation and slope of land, and soil suitability and limitations for a range of different crop types.
