Commercial fishing rules
The Automated Interactive Voice Response (AIVR) phone system has been upgraded. Commercial fishers must now call the following numbers to report notices:
- All east coast fisheries and the Gulf of Carpentaria mud crab fishery – call (07) 3031 8225
- Gulf of Carpentaria black jewfish fishery – call (07) 3031 8235
- Gulf of Carpentaria shark fishery – call (07) 3031 8215
- Vessel tracking (manual reporting and checking unit polling status) – call (07) 3031 8283

From 1 July 2022, the coral fishery will be managed under a new enforcement framework:

From 1 September 2021, there are new rules for Queensland commercial fisheries:

There will be a mixture of new, revised and existing catch limits commencing with the new harvest strategies:
