Stakeholder meetings

Fisheries Queensland officers will be available at key locations around the state to talk with commercial and charter fishers. Appointments are available for one-on-one sessions or small groups of up to 4 people.

Commercial and charter fishers are invited to discuss any concerns or queries they may have around the draft vessel tracking policy and guidelines, vessel tracking implementation, shark reporting requirements or any other reporting issues such as quota or logbooks at the one on one meetings.

How do I book an appointment?

Sessions will be allocated in thirty minute slots which must be pre-booked via the available links. Only one session can be selected by any one stakeholder.

For your session selection to be valid you must include the following details:

  • full name (and name of each participant if a group)
  • mobile number
  • email address
  • fishery or area of interest.

Group information sessions

A one hour information session will also be offered to all commercial and charter fishers in the major areas. These information sessions will focus on tips for filling in logbooks, how to use FishNet to transfer licences and quota, how to use the AIVR phone reporting system and recent changes to reporting requirements for shark.

Please register your interest in attending an information session.

Please note: these information sessions are not group meetings to discuss the draft vessel tracking Policy and Guidelines or other fisheries management issues. If you want to provide feedback on vessel tracking, please organise a one-on-one/small group session.
