Meet Quentin Feery-Lawrence, a technology solutions architect for the Central Queensland Smart Cropping Centre.
"I grew up in Central Queensland and moved to Brisbane for university before working in private industry.
"After COVID-19 hit, I made the decision to move back to Central Queensland and jumped at the opportunity to work on the Queensland Smart Farms initiative.
"My role involves assessing, adopting and deploying AgTech on-farm as well as engaging with AgTech providers, producers and suppliers.
"We are looking at ways AgTech can be used to solve problems, improve efficiency and demonstrate best farming practices.
"The adoption of technology in agriculture excites me. This is an industry that is thousands of years old, but there’s still plenty of avenues for improvement."
