Queensland AgTech Month 2022: Quentin Feery-Lawrence Technology Solutions Architect.

This AgTech Month we will introduce you to people whose day-to-day jobs are all about AgTech in action and connected to our Queensland Smart Farms network.

From designing solutions, to engineering designs, these are the people working to deliver the changes that matter most.

The opportunities for transformation within the Agriculture Industry, through AgTech and innovation, is significant and expanding!

Implementing enhanced digital capability into everyday actions will help agribusinesses realise their full potential by maximising their efficiencies.

While our investment into technology is important, it is the people behind the scenes who are driving the agricultural industry transformation.

Meet Quentin Feery-Lawrence Technology Solutions Architect for the Central Queensland Smart Cropping Centre.

“I grew up in Central Queensland and moved to Brisbane for University before working in private industry.

“After COVID-19 hit, I made the decision to move back to Central Queensland and jumped at the opportunity to work on the Queensland Smart Farms initiative.

“My role involves assessing, adopting and deploying AgTech on-farm as well as engaging with AgTech providers, producers and suppliers.

“We are looking at ways AgTech can be used to solve problems, improve efficiency and demonstrate best farming practices.

“The adoption of technology in agriculture excites me. This is an industry that is thousands of years old, but there’s still plenty of avenues for improvement.”
