Meet Larry Lawrence, Precision AG Specialist for Vantage-BMS LaserSat.
“I come from a farming background, brought up at Kurrimine Beach between Innisfail and Tully NQ on a Sugar Cane farm.
“I had my own business running two articulated tractors and laser grader scrapers for 19 years! I then joined BMS and 8.5 years later I’m still there!
“Over my career I have built up my trade base and knowledge base skills and am able to apply this across the different farming sectors.
“It’s amazing to be able to inform clients of the wealth of information that can be collected from their farming environment through precision farming.
“It’s exciting because over time there has been a continual progression with where precision farming is moving towards, and its ability to benefit each farming sector with their different needs.
“Precision farming can provide diverse solutions to complete the make-up of the different cropping applications, each with their own set of needs.”
The Central Queensland Smart Cropping Centre reaps the benefits of precision farming, relying on auto guidance systems for spraying, fertilising and planting.
