The 'Taste farm life' campaign seeks to stimulate economic activity by encouraging domestic tourists to try established farm and food experiences to boost sources of income for the farm and local area.
Tourists will be encouraged to ‘get off the beaten track’ or ‘take a day out’ of their usual beach holiday destination to discover new experiences in rural and regional Queensland.
Queensland agritourism businesses and tourism organisations are encouraged to tag their content #tastefarmlife and download the campaign graphics to use on their own websites and marketing efforts.
The 'Taste farm life' campaign is part of the Queensland Government's $2 million agribusiness diversification initiative under the Economic Recovery Plan, which aims to build capability and explore potential diversification opportunities in agricultural businesses, including for tourism.
You can stay connected with the campaign and hear about other aspects of the project by providing us your details.
And remember, farms are often both businesses and homes. You can help protect the animals, plants and environment by using the Farm Check-In app or visiting our on-farm biosecurity portal for information on how you can minimise the risk of spreading pests and diseases.
