We have research and development innovations in agriculture, forestry and aquaculture available for commercialisation and licence. These innovations include new technologies in agriculture and timber usage, as well as new plant varieties to boost productivity and improve end results.

Quality broadacre field crop and forage varieties

  • Release of new maize inbred lines
    Our maize improvement program releases a new series of maize inbred lines each year designed to improve the profitability of the state's maize industry.
  • World-class sorghum germplasm
    Along with the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), we have developed sorghum inbred lines with enhanced breeding features such as drought and disease resistance.
  • Subtropical drought-resistant inbred maize
    In collaboration with the GRDC, we have developed inbred maize to produce superior yields under drought conditions.
