Emergency response

In the event of a disaster or an emergency response, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries’ staff should refer to this page for the latest information.

Staff can contact the Customer Service Centre on 13 25 23 to find out about working arrangements and for staff safety check-in, or submit the staff check-in form to advise of your safety.


From 12pm Thursday 1 April 2021 to Thursday 15 April, all of Queensland will be bound by a number of restrictions, including carrying a face mask at all times and wearing it indoors where people can’t socially distance.

If you become unwell and think you may have symptoms of COVID-19, seek medical attention or call 13HEALTH (13 43 25 84) for health advice.

If you are required to self-quarantine, are absent due to illness, or are required to provide care or support for a dependent, leave entitlements may be available.

If you need to work from home and do not have a telecommuting agreement in place, you may be able to work under a temporary provision.
