Strategic plan
Welcome to the department's Strategic plan 2019-2023. The DAF strategic plan sets our vision and our priorities for the next 4 years. It is a core planning document for the department. With the help of our industry, research and other government partners, our staff will promote a sustainable and innovative sector and develop rural businesses to add value to communities and the economy.
Our department's 4 year strategic plan looks to take advantage of opportunities and outlines the key risks to achieving our objectives, along with the contributing strategies, values and key performance indicators. It sets a clear direction for working towards a productive and profitable agriculture, fisheries and forestry sector, on a sustainable basis.
Our collaborative efforts help realise the Queensland Government’s Our Future State: Advancing Queensland’s Priorities:
- create jobs in a strong economy
- keep Queenslanders healthy
- protect the Great Barrier Reef and
- be a responsible Government.
