What's special
Ben Anderson Barrage is stocked by the Bundaberg Sportsfishing Club Inc. Fish Stocking Committee. The dam is stocked with Barramundi, but Australian bass and golden perch are stocked within impoundments upstream and commonly caught in this impoundment. The dam joined the SIPS scheme in 2016 but was previously stocked from other funding sources.
Location
Ben Anderson Barrage is located at Bundaberg. No camping is available at the weir, though there is a range of accommodation options available in Bundaberg. The dam has a range of facilities available including picnic tables and toilets. Boating is allowed with no restrictions on vessels.
