Lake Monduran is stocked by the Monduran Anglers and Stocking Association Inc. The dam is stocked with barramundi and Australian bass. In 2017/18, 83,000 barramundi were stocked from SIPS permit sales. A total of 1,154,889 barramundi and 1,177,419 Australian bass have been stocked in Lake Monduran from SIPS.
Location
Lake Monduran is situated 20km north of Gin Gin on the Bruce Highway, about 4.5 hours drive from Brisbane. It is a popular spot for fishing and water sports with no vessel restrictions. Professional fishing guides are available to charter. A range of accomodation is available at lake Monduran Holiday Park. They offer cabins or houses, both powered and unpowered camp sites and house boats. facilities at the dam include barbeques, picnic tables, toilets and hire boats.
