Connolly Dam is stocked by the Warwick District Recreational Fish Stocking Association Inc. The dam is stocked with golden perch, Murray cod and silver perch. In 2017/18, 6,072 golden perch, 500 Murray cod and 1,500 silver perch were stocked from SIPS permit sales. A total of 135,612 golden perch, 15,634 Murray cod and 23,500 silver perch have been stocked in Connolly Dam from SIPS.
Connolly Dam is located about 15km south of Warwick. Vessels are restricted to electric powered and paddled craft only. Vessels are only permitted to be operated on the dam by members of the Warwick District Recreational Fish Stocking Association Inc. and on Sundays only. The public is permitted to fish from the shore. There is accommodation available at the Connolly Dam Camping Ground. The camping ground has 20 unpowered sites, toilet block with disabled facilities, hot showers and dump point for caravans. There are tracks around the dam suitable for bushwalking.
