What's special
Woodford Weir is stocked by the Caboolture Shire Fish Stocking Group Inc. The weir is stocked with Australian bass, golden perch, Mary River cod and silver perch. In 2017/18 1,600 golden perch and 3,000 Australian bass were stocked from SIPS permit sales. The weir joined the SIPS scheme in 2016 but was previously stocked from other funding sources. Mary River cod are a no take species from the weir.
Location
Woodford Weir is located on the Stanley River about 2km west of Woodford. The weir is suitable for kayaks, canoes and small vessels only. The weir pool is tight water with plenty of sunken timber and undercut banks. Accommodation is available in Woodford. There are no facilities at the weir.
