What's special
Gordonbrook Dam is stocked by Boondooma Dam Fish Stocking and Management Association Inc. The dam is stocked with Australian bass, golden perch, silver perch and saratoga. In 2017/18, 26,240 Australian bass were stocked from SIPS permit sales. A total of 239,384 Australian bass, 11,650 golden perch and 10,000 silver perch have been stocked in Gordonbrook Dam from SIPS.
Location
Gordonbrook Dam is located 21 km nort of Kingaroy in the South Burnett Region. Fishing is restricted to shore fishing. There is no camping on site, but many accomodation options are available in Kingaroy. Facilities at the dam incule picnic tables and toilets (composting), but no BBQs or playground facilities. Please check for closures on the alert link before travelling to this dam as it is sometimes closed due to health risks from blue-green algae.
