What's special

Lenthalls Dam is stocked by the Fraser Coast Fish Stocking Association Inc. The dam is stocked with barramundi, Australian bass, golden perch and silver perch. In 2017/18, 14,182 Australian bass and 14,364 barramundi were stocked from SIPS permit sales. A total of 143,955 barramundi, 412,910 Australian bass, 61,430 golden perch and 1,000 silver perch have been stocked in Lethalls Dam from SIPS.

Location

Lenthalls Dam is located north west of Maryborough on the headwaters of the Burrum River. The turn off for the dam is located 6.6km south of Torbanlea off the Bruce Highway. Limited camping is available at the dam so pre-booking of sites is essential. There is a speed limit of 6 knots gazetted for this dam and only 4 stroke engines and low emission direct injection 2 stroke outboards to a maximum of 60 hp are allowed. Covered picnic tables, toilets, walking tracks and a fishing platform are provided at the dam.
