What's special
Goondiwindi (Hilton) Weir is stocked by the Goondiwindi Fish Restockers Inc. The weir is stocked with golden perch, Murray cod and silver perch. In 2017/18 70,000 golden perch, 2,900 Murray cod and 5,000 silver perch were stocked in Goondiwindi Weir. The weir joined SIPS in 2016 but has previously been stocked from other funding sources.
Location
Goondiwindi Weir is located on the Macintyre River just on the south side of Goondiwindi. Access to the weir is via a boat ramp off Elizabeth Drive. The weir is suitable for all size vessels. Accommodation is available in Goondiwindi at the Goondiwindi Holiday Park or the various motels throughout Goondiwindi. The facilities at the weir boat ramp include toilets and picnic tables. There are several tracks around Goondiwindi suitable for walking and bike riding.
