What's special

Wuruma Dam is stocked by the Wuruma Dam Fish Restocking Association Inc. The Dam is stocked with Australian bass, barramundi, golden perch and silver perch.  In 2017/18, 44,848 Australian bass and 28,030 golden perch were stocked from SIPS permit sales. A total of 139,876 barramundi, 501,347 Australian bass, 63,000 silver perch, 4,000 sleepy cod and 320,583 golden perch have been stocked in Wuruma dam from SIPS.

Location

Wuruma Dam is located 47km north west of Eidsvold. It is a popular spot for fishing and water sports with no vessel restrictions.  Camping at Wuruma Dam is permitted in the designated camping areas only. No bookings are required and all camping is free-of-charge, however stays are restricted to a maximum of two weeks. Camp sites must be at least 10 metres from the water to give ample time for relocation if water levels rise. There is no treated water available at Wuruma Dam. Pets are allowed provided they are kept on leash. There are no barbeque facilities available and open fires are not allowed. Visitors and campers are permitted to use their own non-wood-fired barbeques.
