What's special
Teemburra Dam is stocked by the Mackay Area Fish Stocking Association Inc. The dam is stocked with barramundi and sooty grunter. In 2017/18, 7,100 barramundi were stocked from SIPS permit sales. A total of 210,604 barramundi and 11,700 sooty grunter have been stocked in Teemburra Dam from SIPS.
Location
Teemburra Dam is located about 50km west of Mackay. Vessels are restricted up to a maximum of 25 horsepower on the dam. There is no camping at the dam.
