What's special
Chinchilla Weir is stocked by the Chinchilla Fishing and Restocking Club Inc. The weir is stocked with golden perch, Murray cod and silver perch. In 2017/18 15,540 golden perch and 10,360 silver perch were stocked in Chinchilla Weir. The weir joined SIPS in 2016 but has previously been stocked from other funding sources.
Location
Chinchilla Weir is located on the Condamine River approximately 8km south east of Chinchilla. The weir is suitable for all vessels types and is a popular destination for watersports and fishing. There is a free camp at the weir with power provided. A maximum stay of two nigths applies. Accommodation is also available in Chinchilla. The facilities at the weir include toilets, barbeques and picnic tables. There are tracks around the weir suitable for bush walking and bike riding.
